Another Tuesday evening down the lanes and into the pins. Probably the most awesome and perfect strike he'd ever witnessed. He and his team had to win two of the three games they would play. In game one... the beginning was slow as usual, and the opponent was stirring up a storm. But! Alas! Something had stirred in him and his orchestra.
Strike... after strike... after strike... spare.. strike... and so on. He ended his game with a pretty outstanding 204. Though, not his highest... still satisfied with his effort. And, also astounded by his brother bowling a bit better that first game. His brother's score was a 234. Not to mention that this team of four had gotten their highest game score of the year with a 814(including handicap of 61-you do the math).
Game two... seemed to be a bit more of a struggle for him... but ended it with another above 200 game... with a 210. Though, what made game two special was that a player from the opposing team had signed to his teammate, "we'll win for sure." Oh yeah? The game is over already, is it? In the seventh frame? Hmm... well... all right. So, his team had won once again. In your face...opposing team... yeah.
With game number three... his team, obviously, were rolling on a mound of confidence. Mid-game, they were up by a pretty high margin. By the end, the other team had come back in a big way, due to his team's lack of production. The game then ended... and they had lost... by one single pin. Almost a sweep! Sigh. Couldn't complain, though... they were in eighth place... and they had beaten a fourth place team. The "opposers"... also, weren't happy. They'll get over it.
Anyway.
His third game was a 174. So, he was overall satisfied with his Tuesday evening effort. All scores above his 172 average.
p.s. Victory was, in fact, handed to us for, possibly, one reason. And, that was that he had had a lucky charm in his pocket. Given to him by his hug pal. ;)
